Blueprints: Building Blocks Workshop Series

The Blueprints financial planning process helps families with special needs members build strong financial and legal plans. Many parents and family members don’t know where to start to protect available government benefits, get out of debt and build funds to maintain a high quality of life for their loved one with special needs.

Blueprints is broken up into a series of nine manageable steps, or Building Blocks, and each one focuses on a crucial planning element.  Rob Wrubel will present these Building Blocks as a series of workshops at The Arc of the Pikes Peak Region on Tuesdays from 4:30 p.m.to 6:00 p.m.

On Tuesday, June 4, Rob will introduce Building Block #4 – “Building A Foundation – The Special-Needs Trust”.
The Special-Needs Trust is the foundation of the rest of your plan.  The trust will help you preserve available government benefits – like SSI and Medicaid.  This workshop will help you understand how to choose a trustee, guardian and make other significant decisions for an effective use of special-needs trusts.
