Part of Cascade Investment Group’s Financial Education Series
If you’ve attended a Blueprints Building Blocks workshop or have read one of the books in the series, you understand the value of having a special-needs trust in place. You may have even been inspired to create one as a result of the program or maybe you have one that was created decades ago because of the need to get something in place.
But now what?
Many families have taken action to get the trust set up but they do not always understand what to do with that trust, how to best use it, and what steps to take next.
This new workshop guides participants through the pitfalls and best practices families have encountered in the months and years after they have put their estate plan in place. Some pitfalls include keeping the trust secret from family members and the Social Security Administration, taking either the wrong steps to fund the trust or no steps at all and then wondering what happens next. The workshop will include an update on ABLE Act accounts and how these complement a trust, but do not replace them for most families.
We know how crazy schedules can get, so we are offering this workshop twice. Once on Tuesday, April 9 with a repeat on Wednesday, April 10. I hope you can join us!
Registration is required as seating is limited. Snacks will be served. Register below!
